Skiing / Snowboarding in Alaska – recommendations?

I'm thinking about treating myself to a ski trip review post after this sad decline symester is out of the way, and I had my heart set on venturing a little further than normal travel to western Alberta and interior BC. I was thinking in Alaska. If you've been skiing / snowboarding in Alaska before, what did you think of it? Where do you go? What hills / resorts would you recommend? Would it worth the trip, or should follow Alberta / bc? Thanks guys:)

In Alaska, Alyeska Resort is the most popular and best resort. It is 45 miles from Anchorage, Girdwood Alaska. There are also Alpenglow (less popular and lower the budget) and Hilltop (less challenging – Good for children.) Juneau AK has a resort. I think it is decent, but have not been there. Search online Alyeska. Is it worth it? That depends on you and your tastes. Alyeska could not be better, but it would be an adventure. I hear Whistler is very good. Alyeska is probably less. daylight hours are also shorter than local mor south.
